In order for India to achieve its climate change goals there is a requirement for compliance with various international norms. A broad spectrum of environmental legislations exist to protect the Forests, Wildlife, Sea, Air and Water. Any development or industry commencement has to be in strict compliance with these laws and the procedural safeguards built in place. Proceedings arise from a non-compliance of the these laws and procedural safeguards due to many factors including recklessness of industries or public intervention. The Courts have always advocated for sustainable development so that environmental preservation and economic progress go hand in hand. In the true spirit of this legal principle, we represent industries or other authorities in such proceedings to find the best possible outcome so that environmental interests are protected in addition to our client’s interests.
