Electricity is one of the primary drivers of development. New regulations are constantly being introduced as and when there is a change in technology. Further complexity arises when there is an interplay between State and Central Regulations in these issues. Climate Change related regulations are being introduced under the Energy Conservation Act, 2001 and other legislations. They also have a bearing on interpretation of Electricity Laws.
